Join one of the teams in our Budapest office and you’ll be part of our global Product Engineering or Industrial Operations community, with headquarters in the UK. You’ll explore how automation, connectivity, electrification, and the shared economy are reshaping mobility, helping us develop new ideas, new technologies, and new ways of thinking about the vehicles of tomorrow.
Our office is in the White House building on the Váci corridor, near the centre of Budapest. It’s an inspiring workspace with an inner-court restaurant and café, along with plenty of breakout areas for collaboration and creativity. The area is well connected by public transport, making commuting easy. If you want to cycle, there’s also a dedicated parking lot for bikes, with changing rooms and showers.

VEHICLE PLATFORM
Mechanical Engineering in Budapest is responsible for the full development of exterior and interior components, closely integrating design, supplier engagement, and plant support. Alongside this, the Vehicle Platform organisation hosts its leading model-based system engineering capability in Hungary, defining and developing features that span energy and charging functions, safety systems, and comfort technologies. Complementing this is the Motion Information team, which carries end to end responsibility for motion related functions, ensuring precise vehicle motion estimation from concept to production.
DIGITAL PLATFORM
Digital Platform in Hungary is strongly hardware focused and covers several core onboard technologies. The antenna team provides technical leadership for antenna development, while Connectivity delivers and validates eCall and bCall emergency calling systems. The EDS group owns 2D wiring design and brings deep 3D and manufacturing-based expertise, ensuring robust and buildable harness solutions. Audio engineering leads advanced auralization simulation, virtual tuning, and mitigation of audio induced NVH. One of the largest areas, ADAS, performs extensive feature validation, regularly uses the local proving ground, and operates locally built hardware in the loop rigs for high fidelity system testing.

A small but influential Engineering Operations team rounds out the site, driving battery passport development, platform commonality, and the digitalisation and connection of engineering processes across the enterprise well integrated with the UK operations.

The team covers the full spectrum of purchasing activities—from strategy creation through sourcing and industrialisation, all the way to lifecycle and end‑of‑life management for a wide range of critical commodities. As a stable, dynamic, and globally connected team in Hungary, we manage the region’s suppliers with confidence and a partnership‑driven mindset. With strong local expertise and a focus on quality, cost, and delivery, we play a key role in shaping the products our customers love and driving JLR’s transformation forward.

We take a partnership approach to our supplier relationships. By investing our technical expertise to enhance their capabilities and streamline their processes, we help them deliver faster. SUPPLY RESILIENCE
Our mission is to ensure that JLR can operate without disruption - even in a complex and volatile supply environment. We achieve this by applying the PACE approach (Pro‑Active Capability Evaluation), which gives us a structured and forward‑looking way to assess and strengthen capability across the supply base. We work closely with suppliers and internal partners to anticipate issues before they escalate, validate readiness, and secure robust supply chain performance - even when conditions are challenging.
